I take a camera everywhere: hunting trips, bike races, a stone skimming championship on a frosty morning at Lake Hāwea. It's how I enjoy things most, and it's where my best work comes from.
I spent 15 years working in-house at brands like POC Sports, Carradice and Cactus Outdoor, the last few as Head of Marketing. Now I shoot full time for brands, lodges and operators around the South Island on a Fujifilm GFX100S II. That background shapes how I work: when I'm framing a shot, I'm already thinking about the product page, email or ad it'll end up on.
Landscape
Landscape is where it started, and it's still what I shoot on my own time, mostly on foot. This summer I'm walking Te Araroa from Ship Cove to Bluff with the camera, and the best of it will become prints and an exhibition in Christchurch.
